You can help give children a helping hand for the new school year, by supporting The Salvation Army Back to School appeal.
A new year of school is now underway for thousands of children across New Zealand—an exciting time for kids eager to learn. But there are many Kiwi kids who are heading back to school with anxiety and even fear in their hearts and minds.
They worry that they won’t fit in, because their parents can’t afford the basics for their school year; they go to school with no uniform or stationery, with their shoes full of holes and no lunch to eat.
There’s over 295,000 New Zealand children who are doing it tough—that’s one in four of our kids who are living below the poverty line.
You can give a child everything they need to start a new school year in a positive way. Please support our Back to School Appeal and help put a smile back on a child’s face. Your support will help other struggling children to get the help they desperately need, allowing young lives and futures to be shaped. You can help lift children up, giving them the confidence, hope and encouragement they need to be successful in one of the most important times of their lives.
